I used the story of king Beshazzar to depict my concerns about ‘mother earth’. Daniel 5 describes his story: King Beshazzar tempts the Lord of heaven, using cups and bowls from his sacred temple for his own feast.
A magical hand writes words on the wall: “mene, mene, tekel, ufarsin”. The words prophesized the end of king Beshazzars reign. We live in a rich world, but how do we use our richness?
