My work originates from daily life. Nature and the society we take part in are important themes. I use different kinds of fabric that I supplement with other materials. Combinations of hand-dyed fabrics with felt and beads are often used in my work.

Especially rewarding to me, is the combination of making a creative design and executing it at the sewing machine or by hand with an embroidery needle. I enjoy the interaction between the original design and the many possibilities that arise when executing it.

Usually, I have a clear idea of the result I want to achieve. I search for materials that suit my idea. Often this means I have to dye specific fabric and yarn. When a certain material is not available, it is a challenge to find a suitable alternative to achieve the aimed result.
